Konica Minolta is proud to introduce the new DiMAGE Xg digital
camera, which offers the mobile user the chance to take high-quality
pictures in any place and at anytime. With the proud heritage
of the DiMAGE X Series built into a stylishly thin profile,
the camera has user-friendly functions that enable you to
capture images simply and easily for high-quality results.
The DiMAGE Xg's compact (just 0.8 - thick), unobtrusive body
stems from its proprietary, non-extending 3x folded optical
zoom, which is a feature that will make this camera attractive
among a wide range of users.
Using the onboard Automatic Digital Subject Program Selection,
the DiMAGE Xg can automatically select the best recording
mode, making it possible for anyone to easily take beautiful
pictures. The user can also select the recording mode from
the following items manually: Portrait, Sports, Landscape,
Sunset. The Night portrait/Night view mode can also be selected,
however, only by the user.
With the world's fastest start-up time* of approx. 0.8 seconds,
the DiMAGE Xg can realize a rapid shot with a highly reliable
shutter, ensuring that you'll be ready to take great pictures
right away with no waiting. Visit

This Dimage is only 0.79 inches thick and weighs less than
5 ounces with battery and media installed, so you can dangle
it from your neck like a pendant or slip it into just about
any pocket. Its solid, elegant-looking brushed-metal body
will also go nicely with your outfit. The camera's control
layout is logical and generally convenient, although you have
to be careful not to block the lens with a finger when you're
shooting. Otherwise, we found the Dimage Xg comfortable to
hold for a camera of its size. However, if your hands are
on the large side, give it a try before buying. more

Minolta really turned heads a little over two years ago, when
they first introduced the diminutive DiMAGE X, a two megapixel
camera in the form of a square block of metal, just barely
over three-quarters of an inch thick. The DiMAGE X's clever
"folded" optical system not only enabled the super-thin
design, but made for rapid startup times, since there was
no need to wait for the lens assembly to telescope out when
the camera was turned on. more
