Cons

  • Battery life

Best Uses

  • Anything Your Dslr Does

I love using this camera and the Olympus micro four thirds lenses so much that I have sold both my entire Nikon D7100 kit and Sony RX100 pocket camera. It is the perfect blend of size/weight and all the features an enthusiast would want. I can carry it all day in hand or using a leather wrist strap without feeling I am lugging an awkward piece of gear around.

I rarely shoot in Auto mode (though it does that well), and I was very comfortable operating the camera in Manual mode after using it for a few weeks. Changing various settings became second nature to a much greater degree than they were after two years of using my Nikon D7000/7100 bodies. I like the layout of buttons / controls and find the menus fairly easy to navigate. I am able to manually focus with much greater precision using the EVF with focus peaking, except in extremely low light. Another advantage of the exceptionally large and bright EVF is seeing what your digital image is going to look like as you compose the picture.

Most importantly, I am more pleased with the end result, and feel this tool is helping me capture better images on a more consistent basis.
