I am currently using my camera for my college level photography class. I am able to take a wide range of photos with this camera and it has been great to use so far.

I have yet to really give the camera a good burn in, but am headed for a vacation soon. I'm no pro, but wanted something a little better in low light than the [*] HP (they used to make em) point and shoot I received as a Christmas gift maybe ten years ago.Great menu layout - very intuitive, fantastic image quality.I still need to judge integration with my computer - I classically don't load the manufacturers software so I'll never comment on what usually turns out to be a disappointment.Great, fun, easy to use camera though.

The size of this camera is great ... easy to slip into a pocket or purse. Takes great photos. I'm an avid kayaker and don't need a lot of bulk, but want quality photos. This is perfect!

I try to make all of my major camera purchases through Ritz because of the ESP. I had a very expensive SLR that was run over (long story) and if I hadn't had the ESP, I'd have been out the $$$ and the camera. I purchased this particular ESP on a camera I bought for a teenager - no brainer! Kids, pets, cars, you never know what's going to happen. Thanks to the ESP, I don't have to worry!

I've never seen an extended warranty that covered accidental damage! The money I spent on my last camera was completely wasted when it got banged up in my purse. Luckily I don't have to worry about that happening again!

This camera met both of our expectations. He wanted; compact, rechargeable lithium battery, automatic lens cover, high pixels. I wanted a min 10 optical zoom. The only thing not met was a viewfinder, but now they have a stick on cover to block the sun, so even that point is covered!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Extended warranty is worth the extra money. On my new coolpix the battery door is flimsy so I feel better knowing that if it breaks it will be repaired.
