I have a Bic DV62CLR-S as center channel=EXCELLENT speaker
2 DV62si as mains=Excellent speakers
A Yamaha YST-SW0005 55 watt sub 6 1/2 in. 30 Hz
Yamaha HTR-5635 75 watt 5.1 Amp and Sub came in a cheap home theater in a box set up.
With all of the rave reviews I ordered 2 BIC DV64 towers to use as mains.
UNIMPRESSED.
If you receive these speakers undamaged you're lucky.They are poorly boxed.
Since I only received one speaker so far, I hooked the 2 DV62si speakers together in series on the left then the right channel to test against the DV64 tower.
The DV64 boasts 29 Hz- maybe on a test meter but I do not hear it or feel it.The 2 small DV62si in series sound better are louder and have more bass feel.The DV62si and DV62CLR-S are both ported so they sound louder and more efficient with better bass.My little Yamaha sub @ a 30 Hz rating blows the 29Hz DV64 away in the bass listening test.
I would buy 2 DV62CLR-S as mains rated 38Hz they are awesome.@ today's price you would save $72.00.
The ONLY good thing about the DV64 towers is they do not require speaker stands.
