I travel to Europe frequently and use the ear buds on the plane as noise isolation as well as with the airline sound system. Previously used other products with fair to poor results. A whole new world of sound and sound isolation comfort was opened up with the Micropro ER-4P buds. I use the rail and subway systems in Europe and plugged into my I-pod the comfort and use of this product far surpasses the others I have tried. The cord clip onto a shirt to prevent the normal pull of the cords onto the ears works wonders to help keep the plugs in the ears and the strain of the plugs being pulled out of the ears and the discomfort caused with long period use. The immediate notice of lack of deep bass was a immediate concern quickly overcome by the superior sound quality provided. Other products mask their lack of sound quality with a booming bass that translates into having to turn the volume up to hear the mid range and highs. These ear buds allow a lower volume as the outside noise is isolated, and the midrange and high end productions are crystal clear with a sufficient bass to provide a more realistic sound reproduction. The only drawback noticed so far is the fact the buds stick out enough when attempting to sleep on your side, the buds protrude enough to cause discomfort. The other issue I have read about is the cord noise when clothing rubs against the cords, but the cord clip properly placed can reduce this issue to a very small amount of time even in winter clothes and coats. Overall a superior product that I am very pleased to have.
