Great easy to use. It is on the heavier side, but very durable! Love this machine there are endless posibilities you can do with it. I like the fact that you can use other companies dies with this machine.

I've used it far more than any of the other equipment I have. The variety of folders available gives you embellishments for all occasions. I love the BigShot.

The Cricut is a great machine but it does not cut through the variety of materials that the Big Shot does (you know chipboard, which we are always wanting) I thought when I got my Cricut I would not want this but I find myself turning to it all the time!

After reading through all the different reviews, I finally decided to get the Sizzix Big Shot. First of all, it is visually appealing compared to the other machines that also have the same function. I was able to use the embossing folders from cuttlebug with no problem at all! I do like playing with it and coming up with more personalized crafts. It is very sturdy. The only con that it has is that the word "sponge" was spelled as "spounge" on the product packaging, but that provided a few minutes of amusement. Overall, I think this will be one of my favorite crafting tools.

unit is stable -- no tipping on your work surface.
Although this is a safe product (no blades), caution should be used when "little fingers" get near the rollers.
The large dies are awesome! I've been crafting for over 15 years and the Big Shot is one of my
very favorite purchases.

from Florida on 6/6/2009While the Cuttlebug is great, the Big Shot wins hands down because of its versatility. The Big Shot is also easier on my arthritic hands. I can use all of my Cuttlebug dies and embossing folders with the Big Shot plus I have the option of larger dies, including some very cool boxes.
