The Nikon MB-D11 is a fantastic accessory for the D7000. It adds the correct balance to the camera making it an easy to handle package for both horizontal and vertical shooting. My only complaint is that you have to remove the pack to change the battery in the camera. I wish it was like the pack on the D200 which holds two batteries with none left in the camera body.

I like the balance the grip gives the camera overall. The additional shutter release is great when taking tall shots. Theoption to use AA batteries is a plus for traveling, if you don't have access to re-charge the regular battery.
There is some flex between grip & camera, and I had expected a tighter fit, but it's not a deal breaker.

This power pack includes a battery tray for both the rechargable battery that comes with the Nikon D7000 and a tray for 6 AA batteries which is nice when an electrical outlet is a ways away.
It also adds volume to the D7000 for those with bigger hands... and the shutter release on it when shooting in portrait makes it user friendly.
