The other reviews helped me to select this flash for my D50. I got it yesterday, played with it last night, and within a week I will test it out on the job. Easy to use, a great flash unit. Ordering this flash was fine until India tech support called to confirm the order with me. As if, I was going to give personal information to overseas. I placed the order and am watching my bank account. So far, it's OK. Message to Ritz: Secure the software, and stop with the phone calls.

It's small and easy to mount. It gives a warm light to inside shots especially and eliminates red eye. The bounce is versitle and recycles quickly. This flash puts the built in to shame.

Bought this for my husband for 25TH anniversary present. We own a Nikon D40X and love the camera. This just added a world of difference for his picture taking abilities. Loved the bounce feature!!!

This flash unit completely meets my needs. I have a 28-200 VR lenses which casts a shadow across the lower part of pictures taken with the built-in flash. This flash eliminates the problem. The unit is light, easy to store, and easy to operate.

The built-in flash is great, but the bounce feature of the SB-400 makes all the difference for me, and it will for you as well. I also tested it using the Nikon Coolpix P5000 and the results we as different as night and day. Good job Nikon!

GOT MY NEW FLASH JUST IN TIME FOR PROM,3 DAUGHTERS AND A SON. I TOOK 357 PICTURES THE SB-400 SPEEDLIGHT WAS GREAT, FROM START TO FINISH. THE MEMORIES I CAN SHARE AND ENJOY FOREVER.

mostly take picture of the kids and events, learned how to bounce the flash off the ceiling and other little tricks. greart product should have gotten it a long time ago.
