With the 18-105 lens that came with my D90,it will only become useful when I get a doubler. I recomend a 50mm lens if you are only going to have two lenses for now, or like I said, a doubler to get 2X out of the 200mm lens. As a lens on its own, good pics from 20 to 100 feet.

Just got this lens with my Nikon D60. I love it. So far I have only used it outdoors to shoot wildlife.

This is a great lense to put you right in the middle of the action, then stops the action perfectly.I use this lense for baseball and softball so far.

I wasn't sure what lens to buy for my Nikon D40 but I found the perfect match. I put it on my camera and it worked great. The vibration reduction is a wonderful asset to have on the lens. I highly recommend this lens.

this is good for any long distance, senic shots. we just got it and are working to see the best pics we can take. it's been an awesome lens, much better then our old camera lens.

We bought this lens to shoot wakeboarding photos. It is the perfect length for photographing 80 feet behind the boat and the vibration reduction is a must, espically as we hit the double-ups! Highly recommended as the photos from our first two sessions are the best we have ever seen.
