| Compact and lightweight 4x telephoto zoom lens ideal for shooting sports, portraits, and wildlife. The zoom mechanism also makes zooming smoother. The front part of the zoom ring now sports a silver ring for a luxury touch. EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Telephoto Zoom Lens uses a DC motor instead of a USM to drive the AF. |

Comments about Canon 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III EF Telephoto Zoom Lens:
I bought this as a package deal with the Canon Rebel EOS T3 and, as part of the package, it is definitely worth the price.
I live next to the Fair Hill Nature Resource Area and take a lot of wildlife and landscape photos and have found this lens to be useful although, not perfect.
In the auto-focus mode it tends to be slow and unsure, cycling two or three times through the same focus range, before settling on a stopping point. This isn't so bad when dealing with distant landscapes however, when dealing with wildlife or when hoping to grab that great shot before the clouds block the sun, you can find yourself a bit frustrated.
I am, by no means, a photographer and have very little knowledge on how things work so, I rely heavily on the automation. I will say, when using manual and zoom, I am blown away by the clarity and crisp image this lens captures. I can't tell you how many point and shoots I have had that left me saying, "Well, you had to be there to really get an idea of the colors, etc"...not with this lens. It pulls in exactly what I am seeing.
I'm not sure how much it would be worth on it's own but, as part of the package deal, I can honestly say I am very happy to have this lens in my bag.

Comments about Canon 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III EF Telephoto Zoom Lens:
After looking at all the brands and sizes, we found this one to work out the best for our business. We take photos in low light conditions for our website [@] and Industrial Machinery Digest. Our clients cover all metal manufacturing so we have different conditions in each job shop or machine shop. A good product.

Comments about Canon 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III EF Telephoto Zoom Lens:
This is a very nice lens to have in my bag if I want to zoom way in on a animal or someone at a sporting event. If you are planning on buying this lens know that it is horrible for macro photography so you will have to be far away from your subject and you will need a tripod for shooting.

Comments about Canon 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III EF Telephoto Zoom Lens:
This is a good, durable lens. Seems to auto focus quite nicely (I haven't used it all the much yet). I just wish it had image stability. But, you get what you pay for. I'm happy with it.
