Comments about Tamron 28-75 mm f/2.8 SP XR Di LD Aspherical IF f/Canon EOS AF:
I like the range, I like the price. But I'm a little disappointed, especially with all the hype. It's not nearly as sharp or as fast focusing as my little [$] Canon 50mm prime lens. It's possible that I do not have a "sharp" copy, but sometimes the photos are tack sharp, and sometimes it's too soft for my taste. It IS MUCH better than the kit lens, thus my recommendation.

I've been shocked at the bundle lens with Canon 30D. It is so bad.I've been shocked at the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 with Canon 30D. It makes a clear and crisp image.I love the skin tone of person in the image captured by Tamron.I wanted to buy Canon 24-70mm L lens. but it is too expensive for me.I found that Tamron 28-75mm makes almost same quality with Canon 24-70mm L lens from so many camera forums.[...]

Comments about Tamron 28-75 mm f/2.8 SP XR Di LD Aspherical IF f/Canon EOS AF:
I love this lens. I recently purchased a Canon Rebel XTi and wanted to get something a little better than the kit lens. I did some studying and had decided to go with either the Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4.5 DC MACRO or this lens. After looking at tons of pictures taken with both I decided on this one and haven't been disappointed. The lens has a solid feel to it and works great. You can't go wrong for the price!
