When my desktop pc died, I lost Beyond TV and Orb which I used constantly. Purchasing the HAVA restored the time shifting capability of Beyond TV and place shifting capability of Orb. All without requiring an always-on computer. The video quality on local connections is excellent and very good on remote connections. The Nokia N800 player easily doubles the value of the internet tablet! I plan to add a second HAVA in the future for my other Directv receiver.

Comments about Monsoon Multimedia Monsoon Multimedia HAVA Titanium HD Wi-Fi DVR:

I had a choice between Hava and Sling , but went to Hava because it offer few more features. Unfortunatelly after several days trying to install it through wireless, then wired network, then at the end buying a crossover cable I could not install it. I called several times the support center, for two times I got a bad support , the first I had the impression that the attendent had been paid for number of calls he received, meaning his intention was not to solve the issue, but get out of me as soon as possible. Every time that I called a new surprise on how to do the installation, for example, I learned that in order to you to use a crossover cable for instalation, you need to have a fixed IP on your computer (The support attendent guide me through the support community website, where I found instructions that this was mandatory to use the crossover cable, sucha surprise that the Users Manual doesn't mention anywhere). Also I learned that you need to turn off all kind of antivirus and firewall that you have installed, otherwise there is a high probability that it will not work. Unfortunatelly, I think it has a potential excelent product, but with this kind of issue, bad user manual, questionable support, I dont think is a time, yet, to buy HAva. Eventually I will buy it in the future, but at this moment, I have no choice other then send it back (That is a shame).

The first week was confusing I had a prolbem having to reinstall the wizard every time I wanna turn it on.I even lost the signal and tryed to trouble shoot my seelf and got lost I called tech support and they walked me step by step.I still had the problem and called again it seemed I got the same tech from the times before and he remebered the issues I was having WOW I thought I was pretty fustrated and even wanted to return the Hava. But then the tech explained that the problem I was having was something to do with the operating system (vista 64) and he had similar problem with someone else but unfortuneitly for me the solution didnt work and he would have the enginering team at hava trouble shoot my case the tech showed me a solution to ge by the days until they called me back and it worked like a champ only I cant get a signal through windows media center but thats my satilite boxes fault but it does stream hd video but only in hava player so far I havnt figured out how to improve my signal.Tha Hava tech team called the very next day and started working on my computer via remote config. and it was the same dude again WOW the support team must be small but there was no waiting on phone line and they me called back super fast they are currently working to solve my problem of losing the signal but the routine to bypass that works it is a lil anoying at first but great results love it . I use this to stream my satilite tv to my cmputer in hd I didnt beleive it till I tryed it.I can record my gameplay from PS# and Xbox 360 while playing HD not like those other capture cards that only let you play in standard rca view and thats horrible you can also view your tv remotely gloably tried it once and was great.I LOVE THIS PRODUCT AND IS WORTH ALL THE TIME PUT IN TO FIGURE IT OUT WIFI AND HD TWO THINGS YOU SOULDNT LIVE WITHOUT
