This is a must if you take family pics with a tripod. I just change the setting on the camera and I can take multiple pictures without running back to the camera and pushing the self timer button each time. I love this tool!

Simply the best way to get rid of camera shake, takeing pictures of your family including your self, and long exposure shots you can't do without. It would've been perfect if it works from the back, but its not so bad since you can aim at the sencer on the left top of the lens on D70s, great product a little pricey ([$]).

Trying to take the perfect family photo with two labrador retrievers has been close to impossible until we purchased this tiny little remote. Now we can set up the shot, hold the dogs in place and then click the remote when everyone is ready. It is so easy to use and our pictures have been great. No more setting up the camera, running around the tripod to get into the picture and rearranging the dogs all before the camera click. A definite must have for any photographer.

For < $20, I count this as a reasonably priced Nikon accessory. Anyone who has ever set the automatic shutter release and tripped while running to get in this picture, this gadget is for you. My only complaint has more to do with my camera (D90) which only detects the remote release when it is in front of the camera. It would be nice to have a sensor on the back so it could be more easily employed as a traditional cable release. It will still work, but I'm always worried about my hand being in the frame.

This is a handy little remote that works great from in front of OR in back of the camera (contrary to what I'd read elsewhere). And it'a tiny size is a plus. I leave it in it's little carrying case attached to the carry strap on the camera so it's always there and available although you can easily carry it around in a shirt pocket. In fact, I just ordered a second one because, if I ever lose one (I could fall off the strap without my noticing it) I'd have a second one available. The price is low enough so two is just fine.

This remote control comes in a box, but without instruction manual. However, I did not need to read anything to get it to work on D90. Just set camera's shutter release mode to remote control and it is ready. I don't have to run around now to get self portraits with families.

The wireless shutter release is an extremely useful addition to any camera bag. Without the need for cumbersome cables, you can trigger the shutter release from up to 30 feet (after setting shutter release mode on the camera to remote). There are no other pieces of equipment necessary and the unit has performed flawlessly. It comes with the standard button battery installed and a nice carry pouch. For under $20, this is certainly worth the money. The only negative that I can mention is that I wish it had a bright LED to indicate when it is transmitting.

I use the remote every once and a while to take group pictures or trigger the shutter if I don't want the camera to more at all. It works well. It's so small I hope I don't loose it in my bag. I think that this remote is more useful than a wired remote.

Remotes are great to have in order to take photos without shaking the camera when taking long exposures. Also family photos with everyone in them.
The info on replacement batteries is a bit unusual as the battery stated in the info on the remote is apparently very hard to find but a replacement under another number is very easy to find

Must have line of sight to auto focus sensor, but remote beam will bounce off solid flat wall allowing activation from behind camera (limited use in reality). Good for being in photo or for long exposure without holding shutter button and risking camera movement.

Some times you need a Passport or Credit card ID portrait of yourself at a time when no one is around to assist you. Sometimes you want a picture of yourself of where you are, alone. Or a group photo of people you are with, you included. You can use your camera's self-timer but often just as the camera shutter is being trigered a distraction moves into the picture causing eyes to be looking in the wrong direction or worse yet shut.
This compact "mini" remote transmitter allows you to conceal it easily so that it cannot be seen in your hand! It has ended my wifes complants that we are never in any photo's together !!!! The price is excellant.

I bought this specifically to use for our family beach trip. We set up on the beach with the camera on a tripod, got all 17 family members, including 8 children, posed and it worked like a charm. Just got D60 month ago and today got the ML-L3 remote. Getting to the battery was a hastle; but just was slow and all OK. 2 things are better than specs. First is I got response from camera at 25ft where manual says max is 16ft. Second, and most important, is I got response 360 degrees around camera, at 25ft. With the sensor on front I don't know how this works; but it does. This is far better and easier to use than the self-timer.

I recently purchased this remote and it is very easy to use on the D60 camera. I have had no issues with the remote. I have used this for moon shots, nature shots, family shots. Very resonable in price.

The only drawback I have found is you have to be somewhat in the front of the camera. If you can stand in the rear and get it to work I've yet to figure that one out.

I have a Nikon D60 I use this with. I have used it for family portraits, nature shots that require a tri-pod any picture that requires a tri-pod. Very easy to use and very useful.

The only thing I don't like is that you have to be in the front of the camera to use it. I have not been able to get it to work while standing behind it. But that is ok.

Great tool for the money! I'm happy. I have attached a picture taken with the Nikon D60 while on the tri-pod and I used the Remote.
