Terrestrial Broadcast HD is less compressed than cable. Equates to much improved HD video quality. Most users at this level of antenna are 50+ miles from transmitters. Physics demand larger sizes. Well made consumer grade antenna that seems to be strong enough to survive winter ice loads and modest winds. The Antenna is 168.25inches in length and weighs 17Lbs. Must mount to firm structural supports with extreme heavy duty mounting hardware or use a free standing Ham Radio Tower. Use only RG-6 cable. Might need an amplifier especially when receiving weak singles and cable distance from antenna to receiver is more than 50 feet.From experience this antenna will do a great job. [...]

Extremely simple to set up. Helpful to have a large work area as it's about 16 ft. long. I just clamped it in my trusty Stanley workmate and went to work.
Light enough to handle easily on the roof, but appears to be very well made. Shorter high band vhf elements will be less prone to damage than old-style antennas with the longer low-band elements.
Improved HD reception over my older, even larger antenna. Still get the occasional weather-related
blackouts due to 80 Mi. distance to towers.

I read many reviews, over a period of several months about antennas before finally choosing this particular model. I was not able to get any channels using an indoor antenna. I installed this antenna and was able to pick up three stations that are more than 60 miles away, and several more that are 40-50 miles away. I pointed the antenna generally toward the largest nearby city, and have not adjusted it since.[...]Improve the instructions, especially the pictures. My experience with this product was better than expected. All the antenna reviews I read had some people with exceptional results, and some with poor results. If you have realistic expectations, I think you would be happy with this antenna.
