Good light for the price. You need to color balance for this light otherwise it will look blue. I use a piece of frost jel over the light to diffuse it a bit. If you need to shoot in really low light this light will add a little "pop" within 3-4 feet of the camera. I needed a small light to stay un-obtrusive at wedding receptions, the UC-VL fits my needs perfectly.
