I could not get the stupid thing go stitch. It would go along looking like it was working but it was only threading the extended thread on the outside of the needle. When the thread length was used, the needle would unthread.

I bought it to sew a hem on my thin jeans and I couldn't even get the hem of the pants under the needle. I practiced with pieces of jean material and it was hard to guide the material and get a straight hemline. I ended up hand-stitching the hem. Don't bother buying this product unless your sewing paper.

It took me about a day to figure out, hard to position fabric under the needle. Some of the stitches don't hold but they can be fixed. I like it over all

I have so far try to mend the hem of three pants. It seems to average a missed stitch for about every inch or two. This requires that one has to manually throw a knot there or else the entire sewing job will become unraveled. For one hem I gave up and did the whole thing manually. Although "ergonomic and lightweight" I found it hard to hold and feed the cloth at the same time. The box suggests that it is strong enough to go through leather which is a laugh, as it struggled to go through flannel. Either sew by hand or get a real sewing machine. I am surprised Singer gave its name to such a poor product. BTW, the needle was in the correct position so that is no excuse. I tried adjusting the tension which did not seem to matter.

I've used this for stitching on scrapbooking pages and I just love it! It's so much easier to take with me, or just grab for quick use than my regular sewing machine. I wouldn't recommend it for heavy cloth sewing projects, but on paper and thin cloth, it's great!

I THOUGHT IT WAS A REALLY COOL ITEM UNTIL I STARTED USING IT. YOU SPEND HOURS AND HOURS TRYING TO MAKE IT WORK.I SERIOUSLY WONT RECOMMENDED TO ANYONE.SAVE YOR MONEY AND BUY SOMETHING BETTER.
