I knew it was recommended to have surge protection and line conditioning for an HDTV but did not want to spend a few hundred dollars on some of the other power conditioning units out there. This Belkin PureAV PF30 is the perfect mix of performance and price. It has much better specs than cheaper ones (and even some more expensive ones). I bought one for my first HDTV about 6 months ago and bought this second one when I bought my second HDTV.
