this filter has an arrow to show where the top is and where it has the most effect. unfortunately for me, i was in brasil a few weeks ago and used this filter from a hotel balcony overlooking the bay in Vitoria when i unscrewed the filter accidentally and it fell over the railing and into the water some 300 feet below me. the pictures taken before this happened are much better than the UV filter.

I had some knock me because I bought this brand of Polarizer, but the small amount of times I find myself using it made this one well worth the money. I have in my living room pictures of both Lake Geneva (Wisconsin) and some buildings around Chicago (all glass) and this polarizer did a great job in keeping out the glare and helping me take a great photo.

I don't know if a full-fledged professional would want this brand, but I think it's very ideal for hobbyists like myself. Lord knows when I open the images in Photoshop I love what I see.

I am so glad I decided to go with this polarizer. I take macro pictures of live sea snails in their natural habitat. I get good clear pictures with absolutely no glare.
