We bought this as a gift and when we recieved the product it did not come ready thank goodness i opened it to make the first picture on her roll of my children with a sign that said merry christmas otherwise she would have never been able to use it after the battery was bought there are no problems but every camera i have ever bought came with a battery even though they were high end cameras she wanted something simple but very dissappointed it was not ready to use..
