I use this as both a monitor for my DVD and as a monitor for a computer which is primarily used as a music player, both the DVD and the computer are connected to my sound system. While playing music, it defaults to a screen saver which scrolls through the 1000's of pictures I've taken over the past few years. It has a nice picture and does everything I need it to do. I use mine in a windowless room and have it adjusted down accordingly. If you're in a bright room or using it mainly as a computer monitor or for video games I would recommend an LCD, otherwise Plasmas are still the king of best picture.

The Panasonic TH50PH10UKA 50" has an unbelievably clear HD picture at an unexpectedly low price. I simply could not believe the performance I received for the value I paid. Why pay more for a TV when you can get a monitor for a fraction of the price (every thing goes through your cable box anyway). For those of you who haven't yet made the switch to a plasma HD flat screen, this is definitely the way to go.
