Comments about Disney Disney Vu-Me Digital Photo Cube:
This is a great little gadget, but do not expect great things from it. Do not expect it to work like a "hard drive" or "flash drive" like other devices (cameras, photo frames, etc.). You have to use the application to write to the camera. It is not very intutive, at fist.To use, download the latest update[@], and install it on your computer. Connect the camera and turn it on (it takes a few minutes to load it), then run the applicaiton. Once the app loads, use the left window to navigate to a picutre. On the bottom, move the square frame to position the part of the picture you want added to the Vu-Me device. Click the ARROW on the app to move it to the device. When you are done, close the app and disconnect the Vu-Me device. Restart the Vu-Me devices (off-on) and in a few moments, you photos will be displayed in a slide show using a random effect. It's only a 1 and a half in screen, so usage will be limted. The back light is to bright, and some lighter photos will get washed out.The biggest drawback is that you can not use another application to send pictures to this unit. Unil I can hack this and figure out a workaround, the supplied app will be the only way to send pics to the unit.Still a great for loading pics and sending it to family and friends over the holidays. The fact that it can be put on a desk or shelf and it looks asthetically pleasing means it will get used. The battery option is another issue, however.
