I use this product in conjunction with my Cannon Rebel XSi. The product is very intuitive. Slot on one end for your SD card and the other is the USB slot. Many of the others had no protection for the USB end. This has a cover for both ends so it is very slick and protected when not in use. No software necessary, just plug and play.
