Comments about Interfit Stellar 600 Flash Kit:
What can I say, it does what it's supposed to do. And the heads are 600 watt seconds (w/s) each. Some other "kits" say 640 w/s when in reality they are two 320 w/s heads. If Interfit took that route this would actually be a 1200 w/s kit.
I really like that the modelling light brightens and dims with the power you set the strobe to. Also the modelling light is 250 watts each. They get plenty bright by themselves. This is helpful for the unexperienced as it will show you where the shadows fall.
The kit also comes with a softbox and umbrella. I would call the softbox large, not huge but large. The softbox is the hardest thing to set up on this kit but it doesnt take a rocket scientist. Once you get the hang of it, it's a piece of cake. The umbrella seams a little cheap, but if I had a choice of what to be cheap on the umbrella is not a bad choice. Many will probably change it out even if it were a good one. The heads themselves have the receptical for the umbrella so when you move the head the umbrella moves with it.
The stands seam solid to me. But if you are going to use this in wind or around children or animals you will want to weight it down.
The heads work great. They come with a protective cover for the flash tube/modelling light. They also have an optical trigger on the top and a sync port on the back, phono plug. The sync cord that comes with the heads are phono plug to female PC. Heads are metal housings. Modelling light can be turned off, remain constant full intensity, or vary intensity to coincide with the power of the flash. The audible ready tone can be turned off.
Recycle times are good to fair. You wont miss many shots.
The case itself is a little odd. I say odd because it's not a bad case, but it just doesnt seam to fit together right. It's very protective though.
All in all a good solid kit.
