one of the two lenses, nice to have 'cause of it's size, we can take it anywhere, when the other lense is too big for the occasion.

Stick with the 18-55 mm lens. The 16 mm lens hs few uses and is not important to have with the alpha nexes.

I have found this product to be very useful for out door action close up. I have taken pictures of my dog running and stopped the spokes on moving car wheels.
This is also a good lense for inobtrusive indoor pictures. It also takes good pictures in low light without a flash, great for weddings and baptisms ect where a flash would be very distracting and unwelcome.
