Comments about Nikon 70-300 mm f/4-5.6D ED Lens:

I cant believe Nikon would sell a lens this bad.I can handle the noise issue but the Distortion beyond 150mm is truly awful. My old 70-210mm runs circles around this.Bought it to go with my new D80. Tried to like it. Couldn't. Took it back and bought the Nikon 70-300mm f/4.5 - 5.6G ED-IF AF-S VR instead. Much better lens for just over $100 more.Save yourself the hassle and go straight for the Nikon 70-300mm f/4.5 - 5.6G ED-IF AF-S VR.This lens would barely make a good back-up to a back-up.
