I love this lens. It is easy to use. The price was great. I did a lot of research trying to find a good price and sturdy lens. This is it for the hobbyist or casual user.

Comments about Quantaray 70-300 mm f/4.0-5.6 High Speed Auto Focus Zoom for EOS Canon:

the lens I must say does a great job for its price in the way of optics and speed of focus. If you only do occasional photographing it might be OK But in less than a year the lens wore out and had to get a replacement under warenty and again in less than a year it has worn out again. It seems that the apeture blades are the culprit they just don't hold up to extended use.

Comments about Quantaray 70-300 mm f/4.0-5.6 High Speed Auto Focus Zoom for EOS Canon:

The product works great with my Digital Rebel in regular zoom mode. Focus is sharp, quick, and steady. However in macro mode it sometimes feels like using an electric razor. It is very unstable when focusing at distances of about 40 inches

Comments about Quantaray 70-300 mm f/4.0-5.6 High Speed Auto Focus Zoom for EOS Canon:

I've had this lens for about 6 months, and I use it on an almost daily basis. It's great for catching those things that you can't quite get close enough to with a shorter lens. I use mine mainly for wildlife & aircraft photography, and it works great for those subjects.
If you're a beginner, like me, and/or are on a tight budget, then this is the lens for you.
