The Lensbaby 2.0 SLR lens feature a sharp and bright optic, magnetically levitating aperture disks, and an aperture range from f/2 to f/8.
Focus the Lensbaby 2.0 by compressing the focusing collar with your fingertips. Move the sweet spot of focus around the picture by bending the lens.
To change the aperture, simply touch the tip of your Magnetic Aperture Removal Tool to the aperture disk and lift it out. Then drop a new aperture disk into the lens. The disk will snap into place, suspended above the coated doublet by a shielded magnetic field.

Very inspiring piece of glass. It is difficult to learn how to consistently get good pictures from this lens. However the effort is well worth it. You will begin to look at everything a little differently. The Aperture is manually changed out and you can get blank discs to cut/punch out yourself. The Lensbaby web site is also the focal point for a large community of users. They also offer links to classes and other training.
I love to use this on people. The selective focus makes your creativity blossom in new ways.
The only thing I don't like is the learning curve. Overall the device is well made and the images it produces (when YOU get them in focus) are superb. If you don't want to spend the money on this one, the 1.0 is 30% less money. If you are really serious or are looking to upgrade from your 1.0, I think the 3G might be best. It will actually lock to your focus point. I think anyone wanting to be more creative with their photos should get one of these.

This lens is all about fun. It's inexpensive relative to other lens you may have in your kit and is, for me, something to play around with when out shooting. It takes some practice to achieve the effects you'd like with the Lensbaby. When you do get the effect you're after; it's well worth it.
