The 85mm f/1.8 is an exceptionally bright, short telephoto lens which is appropriate for both general photography and portraits. Its exceptionally large f/1.8 maximum aperture makes it an ideal lens for shooting under low, available light conditions or for extending the range of your flash. I use this lens for all of my indoor sports shots.I have taken over 3000 shots in the last three months. It is the one lens that gives you that clear sports shot. I'm glad I got this lens. You will too.

I love this lens. I had the standard kit lens and one telephoto lens but was disappointed with the clearity for portrait work. This lens provides the crispness of the model and nice background blurring. You can't go wrong with this lens.
