All Kodak Professional thermal printers use patented Ektatherm media for photographic output that rivals traditional photographic prints. With the Ektatherm XtraLife media, you get water-fast prints that are light-fade and fingerprint resistant and will not re-transfer their image when stored in plastic sleeves. And a new matte ribbon gives you the smooth low-gloss look you need for your best portrait work.
Comments about Kodak Kodak Ektatherm 1400 Professional Print Kit Glossy (8.5x12 50-Pack):
My Kodak 1400 is like new. I have printed fewer than 150 8x10 prints. Of these, I have had only a handful that were decent. The rest were out of register (fuzzy), dull, lacking in richness or brilliance. The 1400 frequently misfeeds--or fails altogether to pick up--the paper. Any fingerprints or slight marks of any kind leave blemishes on the finished print. Most prints show a blemish that prints in the same spot every time. I can't figure out where the blemish is coming from. I have gotten the runaround from Kodak tech support each time I've tried to get help. I am trying one last batch before I determine how to dispose of this lemon. Frankly, I am disappointed in Kodak. I have purchased Kodak products for the last 35 years because I knew their products were reliable. What happened?
