Comments about Canon Canon 10x30 Image Stabilizer Binocular:

Binoculars are a great way to get started in star gazing. However, you soon discover that you have trouble seeing a lot of detail when using handheld binoculars. Canon's image stabilize binoculars make that problem go away! Simply push and hold the button on top of the binoculars, and the image in the eyepiece just freezes in place, so that you can scan the scene, looking for points of interest. I haven't taken my telescope out in years since I bought these binoculars. Give them a try, and you'll know why I call them magical.

The image stabilization works very well for day time viewing as well. The unit is well made and the optics are very nice. They're not cheap, but have been worth the money to me.
