I use this for travel and presentations. It works surprisingly well and in a dark room can really fill up the wall. In a lit room it can still be pretty large. If you have an iPad it is awesome for presentations and hook it up. If you have a memory card it is nice to just have some little things to present on there with nothing else.
If you want to watch a full film you need to plug it in, since the battery lasts about an hour. It does get hot when you watch a film, but nothing that is problematic. I love it and would buy it again.
