Comments about Tamrac Tamrac Explorer 5501 Camera Bag (Black):

I use this product mainly as a camera sleeve for my messenger bag. It's roughly same size when full as the Crumpler 3 mill $ home bag, and holds much more.

Crumpler holds - D90 camera w/ 18-105 zoom, lens pen, couple of SD cards and lens pen.

Tamrac holds - D90 with 18-105 attached, 28 f 2.8 prime lens, 80-200 4.5-5.6 zoom, filter, SD cards, memory cards, and card reader.

Comments about Tamrac Tamrac Explorer 5501 Camera Bag (Black):

This particular bag fits a Nikon D60 with a 18-55mm lens on it without a problem. It has lots of little nooks and pockets for storing filters, cables and other small equipment. However, if you do have a larger lens (e.g., 70-300mm) it will not fit into this bag. But, the company does make a side lens holder (size large) that attaches to the side of the bag.

Comments about Tamrac Tamrac Explorer 5501 Camera Bag (Black):

I've had this bag for a few day now. I recieved it the same day as my Nikon D40. It's just exactly what I wanted. I knew from previous experience experience with my 35mm camera that less is more.

I don't want a bag that's any larger than it has to be and this one isn't. It holds my D40 and has roon for a second lens and external flash. The front pocket hold and extra battery, memory cards and even thge AC charger. I may buy one of Tamrac's small pouches for filters, although the front pocket would probably surfice.
