    I have a Garmin 340 GPS and it will not work in my 2009 Toyota Highlander (no reception). I called Garmin Tech Service and they told me it was because of the special windshield and if I purchased subject antenna it would eleviate my problem. It did not work. The product was easily mounted but did not improve reception.

    The pre-amp increases the GPS signals from about half scale on the GPS receiver signal level graph to full scale on most all channels. It alows me to use my unit under a metal cover inside my pickup cab. I have much better receive signal now.
