I put this coupled with a QTB-9550D (the one I received said QTB-9550U) on my Nikon D40x.
The flash would fire full power on one shot (and slightly overexpose) and then would fire at minimum power on the next (massively underexposing the shot and leaving a black image).
There is no technical support for this item. Quantaray basically does not exist except as a label on products sold by Ritz/Wolf/Inkleys/PhotoAlley

I’m starting a photography business up, so I needed a good bounce flash system so I can adjust my lighting. I went ahead and bought this one for the price and the requirements to fit my Nikon D70 SLR Digital. I use this flash for the first time at a party I went to and I was very impress on the pictures that came out. I had no problems at all adjusting my lighting for all my shots and the fact that’s in sync with my camera makes it even better.
