I use my remote shutter mostly for light painting, also I use it for astronomy photography, when in the bulb setting you can really capture the galaxy around as.

Comments about Canon Canon Remote Switch RS-80N3 for EOS:

I used this remote when photographing Niagara Falls at night. It was a life and light saver. The only thing that I did not like was the cable attachment to the camera. I could have gotten a wireless remote but for the cost this remote was the most economical way to go.

Comments about Canon Canon Remote Switch RS-80N3 for EOS:

Here's how it works. You connect it to the camera. Press the button half-way, you get focus, exposure metering, etc. Press the rest of the way, you have a photo. Pretty simple stuff.

It does not feel very sturdy and does not seem nearly as well built as the Canon cameras. People with big hands may have a little trouble using this product. Overall, a "must have" addition for anyone interested in long exposures, images with excellent sharpness and depth of field.
