I use this as a backup drive to my Digital SLR Camera and my Laptop -- the security I have in such a compact package (and it is about the same size as my Toshiba MP3 Gigabeat) is worth it in space and weight savings. VERY Quiet operation, holds a backup copy of all the images I take (along with the laptop's own hard drive). I've used this drive to carry the Digital Images I'm working with in my Digital Imaging/Website Development Classes at the College with NO PROBLEMS at all .. in fact, it works great! Fits easily in a PDA case for protection and easy access to its USB cable.
