This is one of the best underwater cameras out there as far as image quality goes. Every brand as the occasional quality control issue, that doesn't mean it's a bad camera.

I only had the camera for 12 days until it stopped working. It takes a tremendous amount of force to push the button to turn the camera on. If it turns on it will take a picture - if you try to use the zoom, it powers off. It is almost like the battery is dead, however, it is fully charged. I am not sure where the power is going. Photoalley would not help because I had it more than ten days and I can not get anyone to help from Pentax. Wasted [$]! I was very happy with the 1st waterproof I had, but very disappointed in this one.

I have only had the optio w60 for 12 days. It had not been used much at all- less than 100 shots were taken before trouble started. After I charged the battery the 2nd time, the camera comes on (only after you use a tremendous amount of force) and will power off when you use the zoom. I am not sure what the problem could be - photoalley was not helpful in this situation- I have to call Pentax to get something done about the camera. Not worth the [$]. I am sure the pictures would be great if you can take them!
