Nice camera but the LCD screen cracked the first month. This camera was kept in a camera case and never dropped or damaged in any way. I read that this is an issue and the LCD can crack in cold weather. Don't leave in your vehicle overnight if you live north of the equator in the winter time.

I have compared this cameras image quality to some others and I am not super impressed. It is good because it was cheap and can be used in situations where you wouldn't want to bring a [$] camera. Really easy to use and I enjoy playing with all the different functions.

The 5X optical zoom is a great advantage. Coupled with the 8 Mega Pixel CCD this is a great camera. This one was for my son and his wife and i am thinking of getting one for myself as a compliment to my Nikon 8700. There are many time I would like to stick a compact digital in my pocket and the Olympus fills the bill
