I have an FE-190 which is the same basic camera (discontinued). I think they start with the 210 or so now. It is super portable--smaller than a cigarette pack. I carry it in a holster wherever I go. You never know when you will need a camera. Recently I was rear ended and my car was totaled. The camera got some minor damgage in the impact but it still worked fine. I got pictures of the scene that I would never have got if I hadn't had the camera with me. I would caution to watch out for some of the newer FE's. I checked out a FE 340 at a store, it had some features I didn't like compared to my 190. The control dial doesn't stick out far enough to catch it comfortably with your thumb. It felt flimsier/lighter. But the on screen menus were nicer and better/

Whenever or whereever I am, I always bring my FE-340! let it be on vacation in paradise or in your own backyard, its great anywhere. just an amazing camera and is very easy to use. I think everyone should have one!
