My 1st digital was an Olympus purchased about 3 years ago. It was malfunctioning and I took it in to Wolf's for repair (that is not where I purchased it). I was very disappointed when I was told that it couldn't be repaired, but they allowed me to use the down payment for the repair toward the purchase of a new digital. The saleman was extrememly helpful and I finally decided on an Olympus Stylus 780. I've had it for almost 4 months now and I LOVE IT! So compact and easy to use, so many great features [...]. I have actually talked 2 friends into getting the same brand.

I use this as a small, light backpacking camera. There is no view finder, though, and the LCD screen is way too dim in bright sunlight.

Its easy for the pocket, easy to take with you, but find the screen in sun light is hard to see, as I have tried to use it. The camera is a good value unit, battery life is not as good as I had hoped it would be...

My first Olympus Stylus in conjunction with a Fuji F-470 is use for work. Still getting used to the function settings. Takes good pics. The luminated display keys are a nice touch.

I was considering a Sony T-100 but chose the Olympus Stylus 780 because I like the xd media card (compact). A nice effect of illuminated key display is a plus in dark settings. Still getting used to the camera. I like it so far. I took some low light pictures, but it didn't come out too good. Perhaps I need to adjust the settings. I bought it for the low light capabilities.
