Comments about Olympus Olympus SP-570UZ Digital Camera (Black):

For the money - you need to go ahead and get a proper SLR. The shooting modes are automated to the extent that the camera automatically adjusts it's exposure and ISO settings to be sometimes too dark or too light. Even when taking the exact same shot multiple times the camera produced inconsistent lighting in the images.

The Focus adjustment in manual mode is ridiculous to even a novice user.

You'll have a MUCH easier time getting good picture from a good SLR for just a few bucks more.

It's loaded with features but they really are not condusive to proper photography in my estimation.

Comments about Olympus Olympus SP-570UZ Digital Camera (Black):

I prefer a digital SLR for most of my shooting. But I'm a hiker and this is a great "swiss army" kind of camera too put in my pack. It provides a range of lenses from macro to zoom without having to pack several lenses and it is light weight.

The main drawback to this camera is limited aperture settings.
