I also have a NIKON Coolpix 4800 but love the Stylus much better. It ie lighter in weight and smaller so I carry it im my car at all times just in case. I love the "{Anti Shake" and the 2.5" LCD. My other was only 1.8". I do wish it had an eye focus so that in really bright light, you could focus on your subjects better. Anyway, I love it and it's ease of operation. Fantactic for the price.

This is a great camera for an awesome price. I had an older Olympus digital and this one is definitely superior. My only complaint so far is that after a picture is taken, it takes longer than I would like to be ready for another shot. Otherwise I am really happy with it. I also like that the battery is rechargeable instead of using AA batteries. It seems to hold a charge for quite a while.

I use this camera all the time to photo houses. always comes out strong, using the olympus software.Bought it for sailing, the weatherproof feature is very comforting, have used it in low light situations, morning fog on the water, sun sets ect. all hand held, no tripod, still excellent quality every time. Buy this camera!!!!!

I bought this because I need a small take-along camera for my sports trips - biking, kayaking, etc. It fits the bill perfectly. It's very small and light, but the screen is plenty big. The power button is handy but recessed, so it doesn't get turned on accidentally in my bike bag. The controls are easy to access and easy to use. (The dial that goes from shoot to view to set scene can get moved, but it's not easy.) It's "weather-proof", and takes great pictures. It's not going to replace my SLR, but it's certainly better than my phone!

theres nothing special about this camera. i purchased it based on its reviews, which seem to be pretty good. Once i got it, i was less than satisfied with the options and controls compared to cameras in a similar price range. i sent it back without hesitation. color is dull, theres not a lot of functions, and its real slow.

I am by no means a "photographer". I point and shoot. This camera does what I wish I could do. I know there are better cameras out there, but for what I need, this camera is great.
Another point Ritz was excellent to work with. This was an online experience. They had order moving the day it was placed and the camera was at my door in the specified time. They also have a nice feature that allows you to communicate with their representatives prior to purchase. This as well as the price convinced me to go with them. Great job gang.

I have always been a fan of Olympus cameras, and this one doesn't fail to impress me again. The fact that it is weatherproof is an added bonus - I no longer have to scramble to find a covered area while at an event when it starts to rain just to protect a small fortune invested in another camera. The mode selector wheel is annoying. why not leave it as a sub menu option like on the Stylus 600? Some people will also say that not having a view finder is a minus (I said it as well), but I have actually grown to like that fact. The large viewing screen is a vast improvement over those cameras that have both a smaller screen and a viewfinder.
Can't say I really care about the image stabilization feature - if you can't hold still you should probably be using a tripod.

The camera needs a memory which is xD Memory card that is just as big as your thumb nail and slim too. This memory needs to be inserted in a slot behind the battery slot. This information should be on the web for the user buying it. An offer can be made for all the cameras about the appropriate memory card for the respective camera. This will eventually help the customer. I went in for a SD memory card as i did not know and It was a wrong buy.

Perfect camera for the beginner. Has a small tutorial built in for those that have to get the perfect shot. Lightweight and easy to handle. I like the metal construction. Very well built. 7.1 megapixel is very nice for blowing up photos for printing. I'd recommend this camera for anyone that needs a good point and shoot.

I am really amazed at this little devil as it shoots photos with surprising clarity and resolution.I am an ardent lover of canon , but honestly this tiny product from olympus is really impressive.Its really sturdy and light and with easy access to controls and image stabilisation does the job perfectly.The images are sharp and crispy even at higher resolution.Overall, impressive camera, when you donot wish to carry your SLR around for casual shooting.

I had the perfect opppertunity to try this camera out today recording a hellicopter placing high power tower in place for a transmission line. It was light, easy to operate and the lcd screen was clear in bright sunlight. Playing back the video was the proof that the camera is all it is advertise to be.

I love the Stylus cameras and purchase them for my construction inspectors. The cameras are small enough to put in their safety vest and the fact that they are weather proof helps to keep out dirt and rain. The picture quality is great but a view finder would be a nice addition for taking pictures in super bright sunlight...sometimes its hard to see what your focusing on with the glare on the screen; but that is typical with most cameras.

This is a pretty good little camera. Great size for pockets; not heavy.
Love the stabilizaer feature; drive down bumpy roads, still takes good pictures. Would I recommend it? You betcha!!! Especially for soldier in Iraq and Afghanistan; great size that fits in the upper right sleeve pocket!!!

I just bought this camera today. So far, I have taken about 50 pictures with it inside and outside, with flash and without flash, with the stabilization mode and without...and I have yet to get a decent picture. EVERY picture is very very blurry (my red guitar from 0x zoom looks like a red spot). The flash makes the pictures a bit sharper, but the pictures are then horribly over-exposed and pale. I've tried various modes and everything. Maybe this was just a lemon...because I couldn't imagine Olympus purposely marketing such a terrible camera. I'm returning it tomorrow morning. However, it is user friendly (just not in this context), and the guys at Ritz Camera were nice.

This is my second Stylus. I bought a 410 a couple of years ago for the same 3 reasons I bought the 760; size, resolution and all-weather design. The 760 has a very nice design for collapsing and covering the lens, far better than the sliding cover of the 410. The on-screen menus are a lot easier to understand than those of the 410 and the image stabilization is better. I did notice, however, that even on a cloudy day the standard backlight on the screen is too low. I'm now looking for a polarized cover for the LCD. Olympus really should have put a proper coating on the display. The USB connector is NOT a standard mini-USB which means yet another cable to carry. There is a simple set of instructions and hints which can be shown on the screen, a very nice touch. Also, the various brightness settings have a small graphic example, not just an icon, also quite nice.
