Comments about GE GE Create 1 Jason Wu Digital Camera (Blue/Metal):
I find the camera is very simple to use. I didn't even need to take a look at the quick start guide! Just one click and can take good picture. I like it!

Comments about GE GE Create 1 Jason Wu Digital Camera (Blue/Metal):
I wasn't Wu-ed by the Create.
The styling and the feel of this camera awesome the interface and menu is kept minimal and that could be a good thing(if only the camera did things on it's own better).
This camera looks and feels like it could be a contender. The colors and variety it comes in is sadly it's biggest selling feature.
If you're looking for a fashion accessory that takes pictures just a step above the average disposable camera this may be the camera for you.
However, if you are looking for a camera that takes consistent good to high quality pictures this most certainly isn't the camera for you.
I like the fact that USB plug is built-in (Similar to Flip cameras) and its a great feature.
Using it wasn't as nice or as simple as those on a Flip camera. The USB portion on the camera I tested kept slipping back into the camera when attempting to plug it in and this is on a brand new camera. Also if your USB port is recessed or not level with a work surface be prepared to use the supplied cable.
The camera also charges via the USB plug which is nice.
What isn't nice is being stuck with just the built in battery with no option of carrying a spare or replacing it when it dies.
The camera is very simple to operate, perhaps overly simplified.
The camera does not adjust itself with for close up shots, back-lit shots, and any number of problems even for the casual photographer battles. The camera will allow you to force flash but does not have a macro or close up feature. If you do get it to focus at a closer distance the images turned out very soft.
If you take pictures of fast moving kids, pets, sports, or even a fashion model on the runway this is not the camera for you, unless you learn how to shoot with at a minimum of 2 seconds lag between the push of the shutter button and the camera actually taking the picture. (A little better when a flash isn't involved but not much.)
The dedicated video button is a nice feature, however the videos I shot didn't have audio and after exploring the menu (not much of one) I was only able to choose between DVD quality and Web neither provided me with sound. I should also not when shooting a video you can not zoom and the focus appears to be fixed or really slow.
The Create didn't leave me feeling very creative or even wanting to use the camera.
Similarly priced cameras from Nikon, Olympus, Canon, and Sony will put this camera to shame, in fact to find a competitor I would have to go down to the $99 area and even then they out perform this camera.
Soft Focus even shot on a tripod without a flash.
