As with the FinePix Z10fd, the Z20fd also allows picture takers to Face It with Fujifilm's innovative Face Detection Technology with Automatic Red Eye Removal for capturing the ultimate group shots and Beam It with Fujifilm's IrSimple technology to share the image instantly with friends. A one-touch selectable mode that identifies up to 10 human faces in a scene, Face Detection Technology sets the correct focus for a chosen primary face and exposure for all detected faces automatically, regardless of where subjects are located within the frame. After the shot is taken, each detected face is instantly checked for red eye; if found, it is corrected automatically, saving the time consuming process of fixing it later. Fujifilm's IrSimple technology allows for fast, easy wireless image transfer to any IrSimple equipped device.
Fujifilm's Picture Stabilization Technology uses higher sensitivities -- up to ISO 1600 in the Z20fd -- and faster shutter and operational speeds, that help reduce camera shake, allowing photographers to capture the moment just as it was meant to be captured.
This high-style camera can also Roll It with an impressive Movie mode, capturing full motion MPEG4 video with the touch of a separate movie shutter button. Using the Successive Movie mode, in-camera editing allows for the creation of a 60 second movie clip, even when shooting in two or more scenes is desired. Start and restart multiple times to build a 60-second compilation, and edit the start and end points.

I love this camera. I bought one about 2 years ago and have had amazing results with it. The pictures are clear and crisp and can be cropped easily. The battery life is excellent. I normally get at least 8 hours. I love the fact that the sliding front protects the camera lens and turns the camera on and off. It's also ready to take pictures very quickly after turning on. Plus short lag time between pics! I'm buying another one right now because I recently lost mine. I love it so much I didn't even really consider buying another camera.
All that said, this is not going to give you a professional grade picture, but it's not intended to be a pro camera. It's a small lightweight camera that's perfect for gatherings of friends and family, vacation photos, and other casual settings. It take very good close up pictures if you're a nature fan.

I use this camera mainly for fun. I have tried every setting to try to improve the picture quality. I even had an experienced pro try but the pics still come out grainy, overexposed and sometimes fuzzy. I am going to contact customer service because there may be something wrong with the camera.

I like the camera and bought it because of 10mp and to replace a Canon 3.2mp. Believe it, the 3.2 Canon took better pictures. After you take a pix with the camera, and look at it in the screen it looks grainy. This is the only camera that I ordered pix on line and Kodak sent a memo noting that the resolution was so bad they would not guarantee a good pix and somthing must be set wrong. I have the camera set at the best and proper options.

I use this camera every day mainly to carry in my purse and take pictures of people and faces. It functions well for that purpose. I'd recomend something sturdier for outdoor photography with a better zoom and flash.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and she loves it. It's a fashion-forward color (she wanted it because it was green) as well as a decent camera for inexperienced/casual users. It won't win awards in photojournalism but for a solid, easy-to-use camera it rocks.

This is a portable convenient high quality camera! I purchased it for my daughter as a Christmas gift. I am seriously considering buying one for myself. I believe it has 10 megapixels which is really incredible for the compact size. It takes a little time getting use to the size... I dropped it on Christmas because it's so small and slippery. It definitely needs a protective case.

My daughter wanted a lightweight camera to carry in her purse that also took great pictures..after talking to many people I was convinced this was the camera for her..She loves it. The picture quality is amazing..and her purse does not weigh 20 pounds!

This camera is great. I have numerous SLR cameras for "studio" type photographs, but I wanted something small and portable. I bought this camera before our last vacation and really gave it a work out. It has great picture quality. At 10mp it is comparable to your lower cost SLR's. The only thing that I would love improved is the battery life. I had to charge it in between travel destinitions using a car power adaptor.
Even with this, I would buy another without question.

I use this camera at Coke Zero in Daytona,Fla. the pictures came out clear. The pictures I got of nascar drivers was excellent and I was shooting from the grandstand. The picture of racing cars cmae out very good. the only con I have is the controls are are small and takes some practice to get them right.

10 megapixels on this camera does not seem to have a big difference with my 7 megapixels. However, the best part about this camera is that it has the option to have Natural AND Flash at the same time when taking a picture so you can choose the better one. It's user friendly, but I don't understand why they have an option to use it as manual, but it does not have other options to change settings manually (e.g. shutter speeds or ISO).. they should not have put that in there as an option then...

this camera is pretty cool. it has all this settings. Good pictures during, sports, parties (lowlight), snow, beach, sunset. and to make it even better, it's stylish which is a big part of my life.
