To purchase this camera is to waste your hard earned dollars. A three year old can operate the camera for sure, but the image quality is the equivalent of what a 1 year old can produce with super sized crayons.

My 3 year old grandson is an avid photographer, but up until now only with a play camera. He is so excited to actually take pictures that techie daddy can download on his computer. I am very pleased to be able to give him this opportunity. Grandmommy

This kid's digital camera takes photos and video. It's easy for the kids to hold and use, but difficult to get a clear picture--more stabilization is necessary for a preschooler. It's easy to shoot video clips and to download to the computer. The manual gives clear instructions, but no manufacturer contact information. My 4-year-old broke the on/off button with somewhat rough use while trying to follow the instructions correctly. The camera is a little too delicate for preschoolers, despite its age-rating of 3+. I would recommend this camera with a caveat for gentle use.
