Easy-to-use, compact digital camera featuring Easy Mode for perfect images, and YouTube Capture Mode for seamless upload to YouTube.

The EX-Z77 is the perfect balance of fashion and functionality. This lightweight, aluminum bodied camera boasts 7.2 megapixels, 3X optical zoom and has a 2.6-inch wide LCD. The EX-Z77 also features YouTube Capture Mode and Easy Mode. The YouTube Capture Mode and bundle software provide ideal settings for recording, storing and uploading videos on YouTube, a popular video sharing website. The camera is also equipped with Easy Mode, which simplifies the camera settings into three easy menus (image size, flash, self-timer), perfect for the novice photographer.

Other important features of the EX-Z77 include MPEG-4 H.264 video capabilities, face detection and face recognition with Auto Focus tracking, anti-shake DSP and 34 best shot modes for easy use.

This digital camera is sure to please.

  • YouTube Capture Mode - A proprietary, out-of-the-box presetting exclusive to Casio Exilim's, this mode promises to keep up with your fast-paced, web-enabled life. The camera comes with bundled software allowing uploads to the YouTube server without even logging into the website. You can capture your spontaneous moments and seamlessly transition them to YouTube.

  • MPEG-4 H.264 Video - Record snap videos up to 1.5 times longer than standard MPEG-4 with the same memory capacity and picture quality. This rendition of MPEG-4 video compression technology offers pure, vivid video in much smaller file sizes, so you can stretch your gigabytes and dollars even further. Since it provides 30 frames per second at 640 x 480 and reduces white speck noise in playback, H.264 technology delivers superior-quality video that can be easily viewed on most video-sharing websites, and, when combined with a wide video-shooting function (16:9 ratio on many Exilims), plays true to your plasma or LCD television, regardless of size. The future of video is in your Exilim.

  • Face-Detection/Recognition & Auto Tracking AF - Bring forgotten faces to the forefront. This feature recognizes and detects registered faces automatically. Face Detection allows you to detect faces; Face Recognition allows you to choose face and priority of focus among other subjects. Your Exilim will automatically adjust for sharpness, shadow and light, and the feature allows for auto-trimming and automatic zoom. Save time and energy by storing popular subjects for future photo opportunities!

Have trouble catching your speedy subject - even when it's less than 4 feet tall? This quick-performance feature focuses on your subject with a Frame/Focus Lock that automatically tracks until the instant the shutter is pressed - making for a professional photo finish.

  • 5 fps High-Speed Continuous Flash Shutter - Dark of night (or day) will not keep you from getting the right shot, every time. Flash plus High-Speed Continuous Shutter allows three images to be shot in a split second while dispersing an equal amount of flash light for each image, all with a single press of the shutter.

  • 2.6" Widescreen LCD - Panoramic displays for both still and video shots. In addition to high-quality, VGA-size videos in MPEG-4 format, you can record 16.9 aspect-ratio videos compatible with widescreen TVs. A simple press of the Video button is all it takes to record memorable videos.

  • Exilim Engine 2.0 - What's beneath the hood of our innovative Exilims? Powerful versatility in an ultra-compact configuration. The Engine delivers sharper photos and higher-quality videos using less energy than ever before - and at faster speeds, thanks to an improved signal processor.

  • eBay Mode - A feature of the Casio Exilims, eBay Mode is a prepackaged setting (Best Shot) that you can use to shoot items to be sold on eBay. The camera takes the guesswork out of the process by using an auto macro configuration - at 2 megapixel and 1600x1200 size - ideal for capturing extreme detail for your eBay upload!

  • 3x Optical Zoom - Regardless of the distance separating you from your subject, you can keep a detailed eye on all the action, whether in video or picture mode. The Exilim's 3x optical zoom quickly expands to a maximum of 12x* (3x optical with 4x digital zoom) at the same high resolution level. Unwanted background chatter isn't a concern either, since this Exilim zooms silently as you record video.

Comments about Casio Casio Exilim EX-Z77 Digital Camera:

i have had this camera for just over one year so of course the warranty is up! several times since then the lens will not open or close, the camera makes a weird clicking noise and the display reads 'lens error'. its an easy to use camera and very compact; however, despite taking very good care of this camera, it has broken several times. what a disappointment!

I found this camera to be very user friendly. The reference book is easy to follow and I was able to figure out all of the functions in a short period of time. Pretty good for someone who is "electronically challenged"!
