Comments about Canon Canon PowerShot SX1 IS:

I've had this camera for almost a year now and I love it. I got it for christmas and i will never regret it. The zoom is amazing,28-560mm and the is works well even at 560mm. the grip can feel a bit small if you have big hands, and the viewfinder can be a bit small at times. the 1080p video is phenomenal, and the ten mega pixels is good enough for slight cropping. The iso becomes very noisy from 800-1600 and is almost unusable at iso 3200. the nice big rotating screen is very clear and the scene modes are helpful. the manual mode is ok, but you can't manually adjust the exposure while in manual mode. One other down side is the slow continuos shooting, but that isn't a factor if you're just shooting everyday photographs.

Comments about Canon Canon PowerShot SX1 IS:

This is my second canon in this line. I wanted this upgrade for the 10 mgpixels and 20x zoom. I use this camera for all my photography, landscapes, wild life, travel (small and lightweight) and just plain old family snap shots. I have used many of the special features, color accent, scene selection, etc. and all are easy to use and work well. I have had this camera for 1.5 years and still discovering more and more features. I have enlarged some pics to 16"x20" with total clarity. I have used this camera for everything from gorgous landscapes to incredible micros of butterflies so close you can see the hairs on the body. I can't say enough good about this camera. Only down side, makes some sound when zooming which is some times a problem when doing wildlife photos. Great all around camera, takes professional quality pictures and the 20x zoom lets you take the close up picture w/out having to get too close. I love it.

Comments about Canon Canon PowerShot SX1 IS:

Great camera for sports events and concerts - both still photos and 1080P HiDef video. Have owned for 5 months -shot 1000's of photos - very few deletes. Took a class with professional photographers with high cost DSLRs and this camera does everything they could do in a very compact and affordable camera. The 20x optical zoom is fantastic. The 4x digital zoom isn't as great as is to be expected.
