I did a review on the Tonic circle templates that you use this with, and as I stated there, I felt a little dragging when I cut. I used a glass mat, but I think this item takes a little practice, like most cutters of this type. This blade housing is ingenious though. The blade is safely tucked up inside until ready for use.
