Comments about Quantaray Quantaray 58mm Spot Filter:
This product works best with fixed focus rather than zoom lenses. The results are ever changing - - sometimes you'll see a soft focus around the focal point, sometimes a harsh white ring will surround the subject (especially in close zoom). I suppose that with practice, the results will be more stabilized, but a lot of shots will be lost while learning.

The product is great durability wise, and good quality, I am just unsure as to is specifications. It is supposed to put a soft glow around a focal point and sometimes it does not focus on the object in the center very well, and puts a glow around the whole object. Better for use with the telephoto lens. Great price!

The spot filter is "OK" I just find it much easier to get the affect I want in editing software. If you dont have the software it could be usefull.

This is a good filter. The only problem I found was if I zoomed too far out, then you could see the "soft" part of the filter in the picture as a circle around your subject, which only makes sense since you zoomed further than the "soft" area reaches. Good close up or fixed focal length lens filter for a neat effect though!
