Not only did it quit working, it caused my disk drive to malfunction. Don't waste your effort or money.

When plugged in, the device recommends a faster USB port for faster file transfer, but since I don't know what/where that is, it doesn't work at all! The computer doesn't recognize it beyond the initial plug in and "safely remove hardware" icon. It doesn't show up on any of the drives.

I thought it was a great product. Only lasted about a year but was inexpensive. It worked with my Vista without any problems.

I bought this as an easy fix to a lost cable, but all I really lost was time. It is not compatible with Windows 98 [...]The product and driver are not even on the website. Nor did this work on our brand new laptop loaded with Vista.
